At last a helmet for big heads!

I got this helmet for my son who needs the extra large size. We have been looking at local saddleries and online for a while with no success. Unfortunately he is unable to ride atm due to the covid lockdown so he hasn't been able to try it out yet. Good service from Dixon Smith though!

Helmet was great. only trouble was I ordered the wrong size. I phoned and spoke to a very helpful lady who said she'd post out the correct size. I have returned the helmet that was delivered to me so I hope the replacement turns up. Prompt and efficient delivery when I ordered.

I originally purchased a Matrix helmet in the USA made by Aegis that had Conehead Technology back in 2013 after my daughter suffered a head injury. That helmet had just been released in the states, and after reading the reviews and seeing pictures posted by people that had accidents where the helmet was extremely damaged but they didn't get a concussion, I decided to purchase one. After 5 1/2 years it was time for a replacement. I found one on clearance, as they apparently no longer make the Matrix, and within 2 months she had an accident that required a new helmet, but she didn't sustain a concussion!! Well, I couldn't find another Matrix anywhere and I really trust the Conehead Technology above all else, so I found the AR helmet and ordered it from Australia.
The customer service was great and it arrived super fast considering it was coming to the USA! It only took about 4 days! My daughter is currently on the east coast working at an Olympic training facility, so I haven't seen the helmet in person, but she loves it! She said it's very streamlined and it's super comfortable. She wants me to order a spare one in blue! She wore it during a lesson yesterday and said it kept her head very cool and she could actually feel the air coming through the vents, whereas the Matrix made her head very hot and had virtually no circulation even with the vents open, which would trigger her migraines.
We truly stand behind the Conehead Technology. For her to impact her head and say that it feels like she bumped her head on a cabinet or something but she walked away with no concussion, I'd say that the helmet did its job!! There is no magic helmet that will protect you from every injury, but if there is a helmet that can eliminate 80%-90% of the g-force impact to your head, then I think it's well worth purchasing.
For my daughter, who still suffers the effects of her accident nearly 6 years ago (she has post-concussion syndrome), it's imperative that we try to get her ...
