Food Grade Equine Salt – Free From Modern Pollutants, Micro-Plastics or Contaminants
Wild Harvested in Australia
Salt, or sodium chloride, is a crucial yet often overlooked part of an equine diet. Horses require salt to maintain proper hydration, as it plays a key role in fluid balance and electrolyte function. Since horses lose large amounts of this essential mineral through sweat, salt supplementation is often necessary to replenish their stores and trigger thirst – encouraging adequate water intake to maintain sufficient levels of hydration.
Our Natural Salt Crystals for horses are wild harvested in Australia, food grade and free from modern pollutants, micro-plastics or contaminants. It is unprocessed, unrefined and unbleached. The salt also retains a natural balance of minerals and trace elements.
Sustainably sourced by the winter rains which dissolved part of the crust and draws brine to the surface.
It can also be termed as“Macrobiotic Salt”due its origins from unpolluted waters.
Macrobiotics is about food from the Earth. It is based on the Eastern ideal of achieving harmony between yin and yang.
Got this as an upgrade from a cotton bonnet which helped dull the annoying strong winds for my horse when riding, and help minimise the spookiness. The bonnet would flap around a bit at speed but these stay put. Got a medium size for a 16hh Anglo and a small size for a 15hh arab.
