Stainless steel dees with a single jointed, sweet iron mouthpiece with western dee cheeks.
Designed for dry mouthed horses, the sweet iron encourages salivation.

Note: Sweet Iron bits are designed to rust. This effect is caused by oxidisation of the metal, and causes the bit to become sweeter - thus further encouraging acceptance of the bit by the horse.
My pony has gone from putting her tongue over the bit and shaking her head to going happily and no more tongue over the bit! I'm so happy with this bit, I'm going to try it with all my harness ponies.
